Rotating Airlock Module
This project is a part of Orbital Can System family
The main goal is to develop a module that adds a rotating airlock to an OCS module. The connection is through a Universal Berthing Mechanism (UBM) port.
The airlock might be used for a rotating stick station such as the Vast project https://www.vastspace.com/ or for larger station made from multiple OCS modules.
The airlock must be able to provide safe transfer of personnel and materials from a non rotating vehicle to a rotating station.
As the center of rotation of the station will not always be at the geometric center of the airlock, the module must be able to compensate any misalignment without inducing significant forces on the vehicle or the station.
