Will Forsberg
President & CEO

Elected as the President and CEO of Nexus Aurora in 2024, Will is passionate about the organization’s mission of crowdsourcing development in aerospace and beyond. Despite still being in high school, he has successfully led multiple projects, currently spearheading the Nexus Academy and BIOME initiatives. Will aims to study engineering to further pursue his passions and develop the skills necessary to bring more of his ideas to life.

Szymek Matkowski
COO

Elected COO of Nexus Aurora since 2022, Szymon Matkowski has a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and extensive professional experience in the field. Nexus Aurora is an organization providing consultancy and design services for the space industry. Szymon joined Nexus Aurora in late 2020 and plays a pivotal role in strategic planning, project management, and ensuring operational excellence.

Szymon leads projects on simulating crowd movements in low gravity environments for safe emergency egress design, which was presented at IAC2022 and FEMTC2022. Additionally, he leads the Stakeholders Framework project, focusing on successful outcomes and risk perception factors to define risk tolerability limits for performance-based design objectives and risk assessment for long-term Mars colonies. He also co-authored the Universal Berthing Mechanism and Orbital-Can Modular Space Station, which enhance docking and modular space station design, presented at IAC2021 in Dubai.

James Boullion
IT Director

James has been a software engineer for over 10 years focusing primarily on web technologies. He currently runs all of the websites, applications, and IT infrastructure for Nexus Aurora. He is also the lead developer on multiple projects including: Space Race, Semiconductor Radiation Toolkit, and Space Calcs.

Paul Bellamy
Industry Consultant

Paul is a dynamic and visionary leader and entrepreneur with an extensive global executive portfolio leading a diverse group of organizations through periods of rapid growth.

His business opportunities have allowed him to gain a wealth of experience dealing with Multi-national Businesses and Government bodies in cross-border, domestic and international arenas.

Enrico Trolese
Project Leader

Since 2021, Enrico Trolese has been a member of the Nexus Aurora Council. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and a Master's degree in Construction Technology from the University of Venice IUAV, Italy.

Professionally, Enrico co-founded and serves as the director of multiple companies in the construction industry, all focused on designing and building high-spec projects for private and corporate clients in London and abroad.

Enrico has a passion for engineering and aerospace and is involved with several space associations. He presented a concept for a Low-Cost & Off-the-Shelf Analogue Research Hab in Extreme Environments at the Mars Society Convention in 2021. He has served as a Team Leader within the Moon Village Association's Lunar Commerce and Economics Working Group, co-authoring the 1st edition of the Lunar Commerce Portfolio in 2022. Through Nexus Aurora, he works on community-driven space projects and was part of the team that presented a Low-Cost Space Station Concept Design at IAC 2021 in Dubai.

Anna Dovliatidou
Council Member

Anna joined Nexus Aurora in 2023, has a bachelor's degree in Architecture and is receiving a Master's degree in Architecture this year.

Anna is leading the project "Space for a new life", which defines methods for organizing interiors and architectural objects using color, light, and material for a comfortable and productive human life, accelerating human adaptation to a new environment.

Nathaniel Hargrave
Project Leader

Nathaniel is a high-school student who will be pursuing a Bachelors of Engineering for Aerospace in the fall. Nathaniel joined Nexus Aurora in the summer of 2021 and led the CHASE avionics project which was presented at IAC2022. He now leads the Semiconductor Radiation Toolkit project and is the software developer for the SSAM rover project.

Thomas Bjelkeman-Pettersson
Council Member & Entrepreneur

Thomas is a serial entrepreneur who have started half a dozen organisations in the last 30 years, in the UK, USA, the Netherlands, Sweden and India. He has a wealth of experience in running small to medium size international organisations, both non-profit and commercial. Thomas has been the co-director and CTO of a non-profit open-source organisation that among other things helped map drinking water resources for over 100 million people in Africa and South Asia.

In Thomas’ latest company he has designed, helped build and operate, for over four years, a closed loop, integrated circular food production system with fish, bacteria cultures, vegetables and insects for fish feed.

Thomas has a university education in environmental science, a vocational education in fish farming and a long business background in software development, sales and marketing.
